There are moments when it feels as though you are living a double life. You deeply love the life you have built—the values you hold and the experiences that nourish and shape you. Yet, you cannot always share them openly with those who have known you from birth or along the way. That quiet knowing, the careful holding back, can feel lonely at times.
Perhaps that is why this community matters so deeply. Here, we find our chosen family—the people who truly see us, who understand without explanation, and who accept us without conditions. These connections are built on trust, shared values, and love, reminding us that we were never meant to walk this path alone.
We are proud of the work we do. Still, there are parts of our lives that remain unseen by our blood family, our vanilla friends, and even the people we connect with on Facebook. Not because we feel shame—there is none—but because some truths must be held quietly. In our hearts, there is pride, and often a longing to share this work openly, especially with those closest to us.
Recently, we were recognized by M/s 301 – The Deeper Side, a moment that touched us deeply. It was the kind of acknowledgment you want to celebrate, to share with family, to mark as meaningful. And yet, we kept it close, choosing not to post it publicly. This community has moved us in ways that are hard to put into words, and we hope we have offered that same care in return. We have connected, supported, and grown together. Sometimes, the hardest part is not the work itself but holding these moments quietly unable to share them with the people who have known us the longest. Even in pride, there can be a tenderness, and a quiet ache, that lives alongside gratitude.
